Layman was a two year starter for CPA and tallied 107 career pass receptions, 27 of those going for touchdowns. He also added five other TDs via rushing and special teams efforts. He was the Patriots' Offensive MVP in 2010 and the Outstanding Special Teams Player in 2011. Jack holds three Patriot records, including Single Game Receptions for TDs (4), Season TD receptions (15), and longest TD from scrimmage (92 Yards). He was also one of Christ Prep's captains in 2011.
In a recent interview with Advanced Athlete magazine, Jack talked about his time with CPA Football: "Football is my favorite sport because of the friendships forged through hours of hard practices, prayer, and playing games. When I walk on the field knowing it is going to be a grueling battle, I also know I have 10 'brothers' who have my back. My coaches are amazing in their ability to not only teach us the game, but how to be better young men....men with character," he said.
